Wine Cork Purchasing

WINE CORK PURCHASING -
In order to make the Wine Cork Recycling program a success,
there must be sales of a finished product - pulling the corks through
the system by market demand. This demand should cause a need to
replenish the supply of corks at a faster rate than they have come in
via contributions from environmentally conscience individuals and
businesses. Thus, a payment system has been developed to assure
an adequate supply of wine cork feed stock. |
WHY POST-CONSUMER -
The real value in post-consumer recycled materials is that it changes
the most behaviors. Post-industrial and pre-consumer recycling only
change a few behaviors and business pressures ultimately should reduce
the amount of this waste. Keeping with the goal of affecting the most
behaviors, Yemm & Hart seeks post-consumer recycled wine cork stoppers
from individuals. groups and businesses. |

RECOMMENDATIONS -
At this time Yemm & Hart has found that UPS Ground offers the least
expensive shipping - using UPS Worldship™
9.0 software.
For profit businesses may collect cork and then donate it to their
favorite non-profit organization. Payment for cork
favors Non-Profit and Tax Exempt organizations. Registering as a
supplier of Cork with a 501c3 or Tax Exempt status, will result in the
highest possible rate being paid to the organization. |

WHAT REGISTRATION MEANS -
To protect against oversupply, Yemm & Hart has
developed a registration list for all individuals, groups and business
that want to recycle post-consumer wine cork stoppers and get paid for
doing it. Suppliers register by contacting Yemm & Hart, providing proof
of their non-profit or tax exempt status, if any. Their registry date is
recorded and when Yemm & Hart needs to purchase cork, the list is
consulted. The registered supplier below the red dot will be contacted.
Yemm & Hart intends to develop a buyer seller relationship with each
registered supplier in order to accommodate the timing needs for both
parties. This method is Yemm & Hart's attempt to insure fairness to all. |
