3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Wine Cork
Tiles are the trade name of cork tiles used as an interior building
material that are made from recycled cork. Wine Cork Tiles are made by
compression molding a mixture of whole corks, granulated cork and a safe
non-toxic polyurethane binder into a solid block. The block is then
sliced into sheets and each sheet is sanded on 1 side and then edge
trimmed to be perfectly square.

A variation of the full
thickness Wine Cork Tile is available where the Wine Cork Block is cut
into thin 1.2mm thick sheets which are then laminated to a substrate of
granulated cork. The surface is sanded and the laminated sheet is then
cut into various tile sizes. Wine Cork Tiles made with this process have
the "v" designation in their ID number.

4. APPLICATIONS
Wine Cork Tiles are ideal for flooring, paneling, counter & table
tops, veneer for furniture and fixtures and for specialty products.
5. INSTALLATION
Any number of adhesives for wood will adhere Wine Cork Tiles to a
wood substrate. A triple chip saw blade or a combination up & down
spiral router bit is recommended for the best cuts.
6. WARRANTY
Yemm & Hart Ltd guarantees Wine Cork Tiles against voids or
depressions in the sanded surface greater than 1 contiguous square inch.
This size defect or smaller can be repaired in the field by a
professional cork tile installer at the customers expense. A Wine Cork
Tile with such a defect will be replaced upon receipt of the unaltered
defective tile free of adhesive by Yemm & Hart Ltd. Conditions after
installation make it not possible to warrant the Wine Cork Tile other
than
complete and total failure of the binder, in which case Yemm & Hart Ltd
would replace all of the Wine Cork Tiles sold for that project for a
period of 3 years. |

All Wine Cork Tiles are made with one side sanded, ready for a finish.
Wine Cork Tiles are not prefinished.
8. TRANSPORT
Wine Cork Tiles are shipped trimmed, squared and ready to install.
Tiles are packed on a skid with a gross weight usually not exceeding
1,100 Lbs. and shipped LTL freight class 70. Tiles can be shipped in
cartons. Customer
assumes the risk of the transport method they choose. All packaging is
reusable &/or recyclable.
9. MAINTENANCE
The installed and finished Wine Cork Tiles should be cleaned and
maintained per the instructions provided by the finishing contractor.
